This damaged class photo had a major rip along with many cracks and scratches from age and misuse. My task was to restore it to as close to original condition as possible using the restoration tools in Adobe Photoshop.
To restore this photo to a usable condition required a first level of reassembly for the main rip, and removal of fringe colors. Then I proceeded to fix the edges of the ripped area to make the rip seam invisible. Then I went step by step and child-by-child through the major image sections restoring details using a variety of tools from the Healing Brush and Clone Stamp, to the Patch and Dodge & Burn tools. The end result is a priceless memory restored to pristine condition.
